Mental Health Q&A

You deserve care that looks beyond the surface

Mental health symptoms can affect every area of life. You may be struggling to sleep, constantly overthinking, feeling emotionally drained, losing motivation, having panic attacks, feeling disconnected from the people you love, or simply not feeling like yourself anymore.

At Swift Solutions Medical Center, Nadine provides a safe, judgment-free space to talk about what is going on and create a plan that makes sense for your real life. As a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she understands that mental health and physical health are connected. Your treatment is not based on a one-size-fits-all approach or a rushed prescription. It is based on listening, clinical expertise, and a thoughtful plan built around your symptoms, medical history, goals, and daily needs.

Whether you are seeking care for the first time, returning to treatment, or looking for a provider who will take your concerns seriously, you are welcome here.

What mental health concerns do you treat?

Mental health care may be appropriate if you are experiencing:

  • Anxiety, constant worry, or panic attacks
  • Depression, low motivation, sadness, or loss of interest
  • Mood changes, irritability, or emotional ups and downs
  • PTSD or trauma-related symptoms
  • ADHD concerns, trouble focusing, or difficulty staying organized
  • Insomnia, poor sleep, or racing thoughts at night
  • Stress, burnout, grief, or major life transitions
  • Relationship stress, emotional disconnection, or communication concerns
  • Substance-use concerns or recovery-related mental health needs
  • Difficulty managing emotions or coping with day-to-day responsibilities

You do not need to have everything figured out before booking. If something feels off, overwhelming, or harder than it should be, a mental health evaluation can help bring clarity.

What happens during a mental health evaluation?

A comprehensive mental health evaluation is designed for new patients or established patients with new or worsening symptoms. Nadine will take time to understand your current concerns, psychiatric history, medical history, medications, sleep, stressors, daily functioning, and treatment goals.

Your visit may include diagnostic clarification, a medication review, safety screening, discussion of treatment options, and an individualized care plan. When medication is appropriate, Nadine will explain the purpose of treatment, expected benefits, possible side effects, and follow-up needs so you can make informed decisions about your care.

Do you provide psychiatric medication management?

Yes. Psychiatric medication management is available for established patients who need ongoing monitoring and treatment support.

Follow-up visits may include:

  • Reviewing how you are feeling and functioning
  • Monitoring medication effectiveness and side effects
  • Discussing medication adjustments when clinically appropriate
  • Refill planning and medication safety review
  • Reviewing relevant laboratory results when needed
  • Supporting consistency with treatment and follow-up care

Medication is never the only focus. The goal is to find the right balance of treatment, coping skills, lifestyle support, and follow-up care to help you function well and feel more like yourself.

Do you offer therapy?

Yes. Individual cognitive behavioral therapy, also called CBT, is available for patients who want practical tools to better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns.

Therapy may help with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation, coping skills, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Sessions are supportive, goal-oriented, and focused on helping you build skills that can be used beyond the appointment.

Couples therapy is also available for partners who want help improving communication, rebuilding connection, addressing recurring conflict, navigating trust concerns, managing parenting stress, or working through major life changes.

Can mental health care be provided through telehealth?

Yes. Swift Solutions Medical Center offers secure telehealth appointments so you can receive professional mental health care from the privacy and convenience of your home or another appropriate private location.

Telehealth makes it easier to fit care into your schedule without commuting, sitting in a waiting room, or delaying support because life is busy. You will still receive a focused, private, one-on-one appointment with time to discuss your needs and next steps.

Can you help with FMLA, work notes, or other documentation?

When clinically appropriate, Nadine may complete mental-health-related documentation such as FMLA forms, short-term disability paperwork, work or school notes, medication-related forms, and clinical letters.

Documentation must be supported by your clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment plan, and medical record. Scheduling a visit does not guarantee approval of a requested form, leave, accommodation, or disability determination.

Why choose Swift Solutions Medical Center?

Nadine brings experience across family medicine, psychiatric mental health, addiction medicine, and recovery-focused care. She understands that patients are more than a diagnosis, medication list, or symptom score.

At Swift Solutions Medical Center, you can expect care that is:

  • Compassionate and nonjudgmental
  • Private, respectful, and patient-centered
  • Grounded in both mental and physical health
  • Clear about treatment options and next steps
  • Focused on practical solutions for real life
  • Conveniently available through telehealth

You deserve a provider who listens, explains, and partners with you—not one who rushes you through your concerns. Healing can start with one honest conversation.

Important: Swift Solutions Medical Center does not provide emergency or crisis services.
